Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in blackouts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while local people in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and faced problems to water systems, according to city officials.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a distinct Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to area administrators.

Moscow has intensified strikes on energy facilities over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing restrictions," was stated in a public message.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 rockets targeted energy facilities, labeling such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the strikes on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to city authorities.

Local officials said the city experienced heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child lost their life and several individuals were injured.

The attacks come after periods of aerial attacks in the territory, sections of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to detect.

Government officials told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the national power system, with attacks already impacting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were preparing for more assaults.
